Harry Thomas Edwards is an American sociologist and civil rights activist known for his work on the experiences of African-American athletes. He started his career as an assistant professor of sociology at San Jose State College before earning his Ph.D. at Cornell University. Edwards went on to become a Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
