(Historian)
Diodorus Siculus, also known as Diodorus of Sicily, was an ancient Greek historian celebrated for his extensive work, Bibliotheca historica. This monumental universal history, completed between 60 and 30 BC, is structured into three sections. The initial part explores mythic history up to the fall of Troy, encompassing regions across the globe. The second part chronicles events from the Trojan War to the passing of Alexander the Great, while the third part extends to approximately 60 BC. Diodorus's work, meaning 'library', highlights his utilization of various other authors' writings in constructing his historical narratives.
