Ephrem's works include hymns, poems, sermons, and exegesis that provided practical theology for the Church during challenging times. He is revered in Syriac Christianity and Eastern Orthodox Church, declared a Doctor of the Church by the Roman Catholic Church, and credited as the founder of the School of Nisibis.
