Camilla Parker Bowles, Her Majesty The Queen Consort, is the second wife of King Charles III. She was in a relationship for twenty-five long years with him before getting married. The controversial relationship between her and Prince Charles brought her into the prying eyes of the media and led to the eventual divorce between Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Her relationship with Prince Charles eventually culminated in a civil marriage, followed by a televisual blessing by the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was, however, made clear that while Prince Charles would ascend the throne, Camilla would not be styled as queen, and as per ancient customs, she would be conferred the title of ‘Princess Consort’. As the public did not initially approve of the liaison, the couple was jeered at and there were a number of speculations. However, she defied all odds and quickly earned the admiration of people. Today, she is revered by the citizens and is an active humanitarian. In February 2022, Queen Elizabeth II gave her the backing that she would adopt the title of 'Queen Consort,' and eventually, after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, she was conferred the title of 'Queen Consort,' when her husband became the King. Camilla is known for being personally discreet and has never, to date, commented on the then-dissolving marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
