Bona Sforza

Bona Sforza played a significant role in the political and cultural landscape of the Polish-Lithuanian union. She introduced economic and agricultural changes to boost state income, such as the Wallach Reform in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In terms of foreign relations, she forged partnerships with the Ottoman Empire and at times contested the Habsburgs. Her influence extended to her heirs benefiting from the Neapolitan sums, a loan provided to Philip II of Spain. Bona Sforza's governance left a lasting imprint on the territories under her rule.
