Gaius Caesar

Description: (Roman officer)
Gaius Caesar quickly rose through the political ranks, skipping the traditional offices of quaestorship and praetorship. He was given command of the eastern provinces and effectively brokered a peace deal with King Phraates V of Parthia. Gaius became consul in 1 AD, but sadly lost his brother Lucius shortly thereafter. He died from an illness in Lycia without any children. Augustus then adopted Tiberius and Agrippa Postumus as his successors.
