Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld

Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld was a member of the German princely house of Lippe-Biesterfeld. He worked as an executive secretary at the Paris office of IG Farben. In 1937, he married Princess Juliana of the Netherlands and was given the title Prince of the Netherlands. During World War II, he supported the Allies, serving as a combat pilot and liaison officer. He was appointed a Commander of the Military William Order for his wartime efforts. Bernhard also played key roles in founding the World Wildlife Fund and the Bilderberg Group.
