Alex Somers is an American visual artist and musician based in Los Angeles. He attended Berklee College of Music and Listaháskóli Íslands, running a recording studio in Reykjavík since 2010. Somers is known for his collaboration with Jónsi, producing music and visual art as Jónsi & Alex. They released an album and a picture book titled Riceboy Sleeps. Somers has co-produced and played instruments on Jónsi's solo projects and worked with artists such as Sigur Rós, Julianna Barwick, and Death Vessel. He is also recognized for his vegan lifestyle since 2004.
