Oliver Hudson is an American actor who is best known for his work in the CBS comedy series ‘Rules of Engagement’. Born into a family of artists and raised under similar circumstances by his Academy Award winning mother and her longtime partner, also a well-known actor, he was naturally drawn towards acting from his childhood. During his college years, he was often spotted shooting amateur short films. He began his career as a production assistant before switching to acting, struggling for years before having his first breakthrough with the CBS comedy series Rules of Engagement (2007-2013). Some of his other important television works include ABC musical drama series Nashville (2013–2015), Fox horror comedy Scream Queens (2015-2016), ABC sitcom Splitting Up Together (2018-2019) and the FOX crime drama series The Cleaning Lady (2022). Among his works on the big screen, more significant are Going Geek (2001), Black Christmas (2006), Walk of Shame (2014) etc.
