Christopher Vincent Metzen is a highly regarded American game designer, artist, voice actor, and author known for his significant contributions to Blizzard Entertainment's renowned franchises: Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft. Starting as an animator and artist at Blizzard, he rose to the position of Senior Vice President of Story and Franchise Development. Metzen lent his voice to memorable characters such as Thrall and played a crucial role in character design. After retiring in 2016, he returned as a creative advisor and was later named executive creative director of Warcraft in 2023. He also collaborated on graphic novels with other talented creators.
