(Guitarist, Audio engineer) Scotty Moore, the influential American guitarist, is best known for founding The Blue Moon Boys, Elvis Presley's backing band, in 1954. Moore played a pivotal role as Presley's studio and touring guitarist from 1954 to 1968. Notably, he is credited with pioneering power chords on the 1957 hit "Jailhouse Rock." In 2011, Rolling Stone ranked Moore 29th on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. His remarkable contributions to music have earned him inductions into prestigious institutions such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.
