(Ballet dancer) Lydia Lopokova, a celebrated Russian ballerina from the early 20th century, received her training at the Imperial Ballet School. She gained fame for her performances with the Ballets Russes, enchanting audiences with her elegant and emotive dancing on global stages. In 1925, she wed the esteemed economist John Maynard Keynes, thereafter known as Lady Keynes. After Keynes's death in 1946, Lopokova withdrew from public life and resided in Sussex for her remaining years.
