Josef Mengele

Description: (German Physician Known for His Atrocities at the Auschwitz II Concentration Camp)

Dr. Josef Mengele was a German Schutzstaffel (SS) doctor who was in charge of the medical team at the Auschwitz concentration camp where Jews were taken for extermination. He was nicknamed the ‘Angel of Death’ as he tortured and killed thousands of men, women, and children. He subjected his victims to horrible experiments using drugs, pressure chambers, blood transfusions, castrations, freezing chambers, lethal germs, sex change operations, removal of organs, and surgeries without administering anesthesia. He was cruel to the children who arrived at the Auschwitz concentration camp, and very few survived the horrors that were perpetuated on them. He murdered many children by dissecting them into pieces after conducting experiments on them. He injected chemicals into the eyes of the children in order to change the color of their eyes, stitched twin children together, and removed their organs and limbs by surgical procedures without using any anesthetic. People who arrived at the Auschwitz concentration camp could not make out the evil that lay underneath this suave looking Nazi doctor. He was never arrested in spite of the efforts of the West German government, and eluded capture for 34 years.
