Riitta Immonen, a notable Finnish fashion artist and entrepreneur, co-founded Marimekko, a prominent Finnish fashion corporation. A self-taught clothing designer, she opened her first design boutique in Helsinki during World War II, which thrived despite wartime shortages. Immonen later developed distinctive outfits under her Cinderella collections and maintained her passion for creating clothes throughout her life. She also designed for a company called Atelierika for a period. In 2008, her work and influence were honored in an exhibition at the Finnish Design Museum.
