Abraham Gilbert Saffron, an Australian hotelier, nightclub owner, and property developer, was involved in organized crime during the latter half of the 20th century. His activities included illegal gambling, drug dealing, and extortion. Although he faced numerous charges, he was ultimately convicted of federal tax evasion. Saffron was widely known in the media as "Mr Sin" and "the boss of the Cross" due to his connections to the Kings Cross red-light district. He was also linked to an arson plot at Luna Park Sydney in 1979.
