Bill Peet was an American illustrator, story writer, and animator known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios. He began his career at Disney in 1937 and contributed to films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Peet's role at Disney expanded over time, but a disagreement with Walt Disney led to his departure during The Jungle Book's development. After leaving Disney, Peet had a successful career as a writer and illustrator of many beloved children's books.
