Yto Barrada is a multimedia visual artist based in Tangier, Morocco and New York City. She co-founded the Cinémathèque de Tanger in 2006 and leads a group of artists and filmmakers there. Barrada is also an artistic director for a Tangier art house movie theatre and has been involved with the Arab Image Foundation in Beirut, showcasing her commitment to the arts and collaborative projects.
