Francesco Clemente, an Italian contemporary artist, is recognized for his versatile artistic expression spanning drawing, fresco, graphics, mosaic, oils, and sculpture. A prominent member of the Italian Transavanguardia movement in the 1980s, Clemente was instrumental in moving away from Formalism and conceptual art towards figurative art and Symbolism. Notably, he was involved in the co-publication of Hanuman Books from 1986 to 1993.
