(Director, StoryBoard Artist) Domee Shi is a Canadian film director and screenwriter recognized for her contributions at Pixar. She began her career at the company in 2011 as a storyboard artist, working on well-received films such as Inside Out, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4. In 2018, Shi made history by directing the acclaimed short film Bao, which received an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. She further broke barriers by becoming the first woman to hold sole director's credit on a Pixar feature film with Turning Red in 2022.
