(Architect of Djoser's Step Pyramid)
Imhotep was an influential figure in ancient Egypt, serving as a chancellor to King Djoser, architect of Djoser's step pyramid, and high priest of the sun god Ra at Heliopolis. While little is known about his historical existence, Imhotep was later revered as a great author of wisdom texts and a skilled physician. He was deified after his death, with a cult centered in Memphis. Imhotep's tomb, believed to be located in Saqqara, remains undiscovered despite ongoing efforts to locate it.
