Peter Behrens was a prominent German architect, graphic and industrial designer known for his innovative work in the early 20th century. A founding member of the German Werkbund, he played a key role in pioneering corporate design and graphic design for AEG. His career spanned a range of styles, influencing many European modernist architects. Behrens also led the architecture school at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
