(Politician) Brian Kendall Sims is an American politician, activist, and attorney known for his work in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat representing the 182nd district. He is recognized for his legal expertise and advocacy for LGBT civil rights. Sims made history as the first openly gay elected state legislator in Pennsylvania and won re-election in 2018. He later ran for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor in 2022. After leaving public office, Sims transitioned to roles in government affairs and public policy at Out Leadership and joined the Board of Trustees of the Tyler Clementi Foundation in 2023.
