In addition to her confrontational methods, Nation was active in charitable and religious endeavors, including establishing support programs like sewing circles for the less fortunate and creating shelters for the families of alcoholics. She also voiced her disapproval of Freemasonry and campaigned against women wearing restrictive garments such as corsets.
