American basketball player Ja Morant is best known for his association with the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies. The South Carolina-born point guard was raised by parents who both played basketball in high school. His father continued playing in his university days but quit after Morant was born. In high school, Morant was a 2-time South Carolina 3A All-State and a 3-time MVP. During his stint at Murray State University, he broke many records and became the first player to score multiple triple-doubles in Murray State history. Picked by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2019 NBA Draft, he had a successful stint with them. He became the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2020 and the NBA Most Improved Player in 2022, apart from winning other accolades. The father of one is also known for his signature dreadlocks and his love for tattoos.
