American singer and actor William Louis Hudson Jr., better known as Bill Hudson, shot to fame in the 1970s, as a vocalist of the band The Hudson Brothers. He had formed the band with his two younger brothers, Brett and Mark, in the mid-1960s. Abandoned by his father as a child, he was inspired to pursue music as a career by his singer mother. He began performing with his brothers in his early teens. In the 1970s, they ruled the music charts with hits such as So You Are a Star and Rendezvous. They also toured with David Cassidy and the Osmonds. Hudson had also tried his luck in acting, with brief roles in series and films such as Zero to Sixty, Hysterical, and Doogie Howser, M.D. He has also been in the news for his troubled relationship with his former wife, Goldie Hawn, and their children, Oliver and Kate Hudson.
