Dale Earnhardt was born to, a NASCAR Grand National champion, Ralph Earnhardt. His racing career started with a boom at the Winston Cup when he won the title of ‘Rookie of the Year’. He also won his first championship at the Winston Cup, which he went on to win for several consecutive years and became the only car racer to have achieved this feat. Interestingly, he made an appearance in films three years later with other NASCAR drivers in a racing comedy called ‘Stroker Ace’. After years of several attempts he finally won the Daytona 500 and soon appeared in his second movie titled ‘BASEketeball’. Winning several races in all of USA he also ventured in the car owning business and acquired three cars with the addition of Michael Waltrip. In one of his races, Earnhardt suffered a massive accident which injured him to a great extent. Surprising his fans and colleagues, he returned the very next week on the race track and showed his zeal and dedication to the sport. Till date he remains the most celebrated NASCAR driver.
