American football quarterback Lamar Jackson is best known for his illustrious National Football League (NFL) career with the Baltimore Ravens. After losing his father at age 8, he was raised single-handedly by his mother. Starting his career as a high school quarterback, he later played college football at the University of Louisville and became the youngest recipient of the Heisman Trophy. He also won the Walter Camp Award and the Maxwell Award in college. In the 2018 NFL Draft, he was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens. At 21, he scripted history as the youngest NFL quarterback to start a playoff. In 2019, he became the second-youngest player to earn NFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor. He also became the second player to be unanimously selected for the honor and the 4th African-American quarterback to receive the award. Jackson also made history as the first quarterback to record multiple 1,000 yards rushing seasons. He has also ventured into the hospitality business.
