Daniel Handler is an American author and musician, best known for his children’s book series ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ and ‘All the Wrong Questions,’ both of which were published under his pen name, “Lemony Snicket.” He has also written various other novels, such as ‘The Basic Eight,’ Watch Your Mouth,’ ‘Adverbs,’ and ‘Why We Broke Up.’ In January 2011, his book ‘Why We Broke Up’ was honored with the 2012 ‘Michael L Printz Award.’ ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ was turned into a ‘Nickelodeon’ film in 2004, followed by a ‘Netflix’ series in 2017. He also wrote a play titled ‘Imaginary Comforts, or The Story of The Ghost of The Dead Rabbit’ in 2017. He also wrote screenplays for films such as ‘Rick’ (2003) and ‘Kill the Poor’ (2006). He also contributed to the lyrics of the theme song of the series ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events.’ As a musician, Daniel was part of two bands when he was in college. With time, he learnt to play the accordion. He played the instrument in various tracks of the album ‘69 Love Songs’ by ‘The Magnetic Fields.’
