Sonya Curry is a former volleyball player and a school administrator. She was also a basketball player and has won a couple of championships, playing for her school team. She and ex-NBA player Dell Curry are proud parents to two NBA stars, Stephen and Seth. Sonya’s daughter, Sydel, is a state level volleyball player. Sonya is also the owner of a Montessori school in North Carolina. The school, which is a charitable institution, focuses on the overall development of its students. Sonya is a woman of substance as she has played a significant role in raising her children and making them what they are today. Her children have always spoken about her contributions in shaping their life and career. In August 2021, Sonya and Dell Curry decided to end their 33 year old marriage.
