Carrie Alexandra Coon is an American actress known for portraying Nora Durst in the HBO supernatural mystery drama series ‘The Leftovers’, Gloria Burgle in the FX anthology series 'Fargo', Vera Walker in ‘The Sinner’, Meg Greenfield in the political drama ‘The Post’, and Proxima Midnight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is also a prolific stage actress and received a Tony Award nomination for the 2012 revival of ‘Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ An Ohio native, Coon received an M.F.A. degree in acting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She made her screen debut in 2011 in an episode of the NBC drama series ‘The Playboy Club’. Her cinematic debut occurred three years later, in David Fincher’s thriller drama ‘Gone Girl’. Coon received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for ‘Fargo’. In 2015, she served as an associate producer on the comedy-drama ‘Lost Colony’.
