American actor, voice actor, and entrepreneur Kyle MacLachlan is best known to audiences as Dale Cooper in the series Twin Peaks. He initially shot to fame with his roles in the movies Dune and Blue Velvet and later followed up with movies such as The Hidden and The Doors. Though the failure of the movie Showgirls was a major set-back in his career, he later bounced back. He has been seen in series such as Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, and How I Met Your Mother. He has also voiced characters in projects such as Inside Out. His performance in Twin Peaks won him a Golden Globe award and 2 Emmy nominations, among other awards. A part-time vintner, he has partnered with Eric Dunham to launch his own brand of beer, Pursued by Bear. The father of one is married to publicist and producer Desiree Gruber.
