Arthur Carty is a Canadian academic best known for his service as Canada's national science advisor from 2004 to 2008. He was the country's first national science advisor and served under the prime minister. Prior to his role as science advisor, Arthur Carty was associated with the National Research Council, where he served as president from 1994 to 2004.
