Toni Collette is an Australian actress who shot to fame with the comedy-drama film Muriel's Wedding in 1994 and later gained further recognition with the mystery thriller The Sixth Sense (1999). Since then the versatile actress has worked in numerous films including The Hours, Japanese Story, About a Boy, Little Miss Sunshine, The Way, Way Back, Knives Out and Hereditary. On television, her work in the series United States of Tara and Wanderlust as well as miniseries Unbelievable have earned her tremendous appreciation. Television and films aside, Toni Collette has also worked on stage productions including Uncle Vanya and King Lear. She made her Broadway debut in 2000 with The Wild Party. Her work across, films, television and stage have bagged her multiple awards including five AACTA Awards and one each of Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award. Apart from acting, she has also turned executive producer for few of her films (Hereditary) and television series (United States of Tara). As a singer, Toni Collette has sung for her film (Così) and Broadway productions (The Wild Party). In 2006, she also formed a band and released her album Beautiful Awkward Pictures. In 2017, she established her own production company.
