Mark Strong is an English actor who has garnered fame for portraying film roles like Prince Septimus in 'Stardust', Lord Henry Blackwood in ‘Sherlock Holmes’, Frank D'Amico in ‘Kick-Ass’, Maj. Gen. Stewart Menzies in ‘The Imitation Game’, and Merlin in ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ and ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle.’ He has also been active on the small screen and stage and has delivered memorable performances in the miniseries ‘Our Friends in the North’, AMC crime-drama series ‘Low Winter Sun’, and Fox espionage thriller series ‘Deep State’ as well as in the productions of ‘Death of a Salesman’, Uncle Vanya’, and ‘A view from the Bridge’. A London native, Strong made his screen debut in an episode of ‘EastEnders’ in 1989. In the ensuing years, he has established himself as one of the most prolific character actors in the industry, often portraying primary antagonists or men in equally powerful positions. In 2015, he received an Olivier Award for his performance as Eddie in a revival of ‘A View from the Bridge’.
