Joakim Simon Noah is a professional basketball player who plays for the ‘Memphis Grizzlies’ under the ‘National Basketball Association’ (NBA), the men’s professional basketball league in North America. As a consequence of his birth in the New York City and the Swedish and French origins of his mother and father, respectively, Noah holds triple citizenship and is simultaneously a citizen of the US, France, and Sweden. His basketball career began when he was a student at the ‘University of Florida.’ He played for the ‘Florida Gators,’ the men's basketball team of his university, and won the ‘National Collegiate Athletic Association’ (NCAA) championships for two successive seasons. Later, he was selected by the Chicago-based professional basketball team known as the ‘Chicago Bulls.’ He is a recipient of the ‘NBA’s ‘Defensive Player of the Year Award.’ He has been featured on the ‘NBA All-Star’ team twice and has been named to the ‘All-NBA First Team’ as one of the best players of the league.
