Simon Pegg is an actor, film producer and director best known for his work in ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘Spaced’. The actor started his career in show business as a stand-up comedian and gradually moved on to acting before venturing into film production and direction. He frequently works in collaboration with Edgar Wright, Jessica Hynes, Nick Frost, and Dylan Moran with whom he has produced some of his best works. He loved watching horror movies as a kid and also had a penchant for comedy. He was musically inclined during his childhood and used to play drums in a band as a teenager. Having decided early in his life to pursue a career in acting, he studied drama at university. After his graduation, he started performing stand-up comedy before establishing himself as a stage comedian. He made a transition from stage to television with the comedy show ‘Faith in the Future’ in which he played a naive young man, Jools. The show ran for three seasons and helped him get roles in other television shows as well. Following his success in television he forayed into the world of movies where he created a name for himself with the movie ‘Shaun of the Dead’.
