Larisa Oleynik is an American actress and voice artist who became a teen idol in the 1990s. She started her acting career as a child actor at the age of eight, first performing onstage as young Cosette in a production of ‘Les Misérables.’ From 1994 to 1998, Oleynik played her breakthrough role, the titular character on Nickelodeon’s sci-fi drama series ‘The Secret World of Alex Mack’. She later entered Hollywood and also worked as a voice actress. Following the success of ‘Alex Mack’, she decided to take a short break to focus on her education. She pursued a liberal arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College, Yonkers, New York. She thoroughly enjoyed her stint at the college and believes that the experience has been very valuable to her.
