Lawrence Kudlow is a charismatic and articulate American television commentator on economic issues who now serves the administration of President Trump as Director of the National Economic Council. Kudlow had had a very long stint in the financial sector following which, he became a noted television commentator on CNBC and a popular nationally-syndicated columnist with his articles appearing in several American newspapers and websites. Kudlow is the economics editor for National Review Online, which he also writes for and a contributing editor of National Review magazine. While he is a very well-known figure in the financial and economic sectors, the general public is more familiar with him as the host of ‘The Kudlow Report’, a CNBC show that ended in 2014 and thereafter his regular appearances in the financial market update program, ‘Squawk Box’, also on CNBC. Kudlow also conducts the ‘The Larry Kudlow Show’, an AM talk radio show every Saturday on WABC. The author of four books on finance and economics, Kudlow is a very strong advocate of free trade and supply-side economics and a strong believer in the policy of reducing taxes on corporations and the rich to boost the economy. He served as the associate director for economics and planning, Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the Presiden’ during the first term of Ronald Reagan. He informally advised President Trump during his 2016 campaign and publicly aired his admiration of the president’s economic policies. Kudlow has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions.
