Jason Beghe is an American TV and film actor, best known for his roles in films such as ‘Monkey Shines’ and ‘Thelma & Louise.’ Born and raised in New York City, Jason spent a lot of time with his friend John F Kennedy, Jr. during his teenage years. He became interested in acting over time and enrolled into a theater program in the ‘Collegiate School.’ He started his career with modeling in Europe and made his acting debut in the mid-1980s with a small role in the film ‘Compromising Positions.’ He had his first major breakthrough with the portrayal of a quadriplegic man named ‘Allan Mann’ in the film titled ‘Monkey Shines: An Experiment in Fear,’ for which he received universal praise. He also began his TV career in the mid-1980s, appearing in the series ‘Dress Gray,’ and then appeared in many small and supporting roles in series such as ‘Picket Fences,’ ‘To Have & to Hold,’ ‘America Dreams,’ and ‘Chicago Fire.’ Lately, he has been seen playing the lead role in the series ‘Chicago P.D.’ Jason has also been dragged into a controversy regarding his connections with the Church of Scientology. He quit the cult in 2007 and has criticized it openly since then.
