Cary Elwes is a noted English actor and writer, who is known for brilliant performances in movies such as 'The Princess Bride' and 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights'. He belongs to a well-known British family that has produced many eminent personalities. Brought up in London, he graduated from Harrow School, before studying briefly at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. At the age of 19, he migrated to the USA, where he resumed his education at Sarah Lawrence College. However, he left his studies when at the age 21 he was chosen to play a gay student in the movie ‘Another Country’. Thereafter, he continued to work steadily, ultimately earning fame with the release of ‘The Princess Bride’, a work that later became a cult classic. Among his other memorable movies are ‘Robin Hood: Men in Tights’, ‘Shadow of the Vampire’, ‘Georgia Rule’ and ‘Saw’. Other than the above mentioned films, he is also known for his roles in ‘Glory’, ‘Kiss the Girls’, ‘Days of Thunder’, ‘Bram Stoker's Dracula’, ‘Hot Shots!’, ‘Twister’, ‘The Jungle Book’, and ‘Liar, Liar’.
