Roqia Abubakr

Roqia Abubakr was an Afghan politician who became one of the first six Afghan women to be elected as a Member of Parliament in Afghanistan in 1965. From 1972 to 1973, she served as the director of the literacy programme in Afghanistan, an initiative headed by the Ministry of Education.
