Joe Morton is an American actor, best known for starring in series, such as ‘Eureka’ and ‘Scandal’. He was born in New York City and brought up all over America, Germany and Japan because of his father’s job in the US military. He was introduced to acting while studying at ‘Andrew Jackson High School’ in New York. He continued to pursue it at the ‘Hofstra University’, from where he graduated in drama. He started his acting career in the early 1970s by appearing in Broadway plays, such as ‘Salvation’, ‘Hair’ and ‘Raisin’. He received a ‘Tony Award’ nomination for his performance in ‘Raisin’. He made his film debut in the 1977 dramedy ‘Between the Lines’. Over the next few decades, he appeared in more than 70 movies, most notably ‘The Brother from Another Planet’, ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ and ‘Blues Brothers 2000’. Joe also had a fairly successful television career, as he played key roles in series like ‘All My Children’ and ‘Another World’. More recently, he was seen in supporting roles in series, such as ‘Eureka’ and ‘Scandal’. For his performance in the latter, he also received a ‘Primetime Emmy Award’.
