Peter Coyote is an American actor, director, author, narrator and screenwriter. He is known for his roles in the movies ‘Cross Creek,’ ‘Patch Adams,’ ‘Jagged Edge,’ ‘A Walk to Remember,’ and ‘Good Kill.’ As a narrator, he is known for his work in the documentary ‘The Roosevelts’ for which he earned an Emmy Award. Raised in a cultural and intellectual environment, Coyote’s interest in both acting and politics started in high school. In college, he, alongside eleven other students, fasted for three days during the Cuban Missile crisis, supporting then-President John F. Kennedy's "peace race". After earning a BA degree in English Literature, Coyote attended San Francisco State University to study creative writing. He later became a part of the San Francisco Mime Troupe and began writing, directing, and acting in plays before venturing into films and television as well. The talented personality is also an amateur photographer.
