Karl Malden was a renowned American character actor, who gave exceptional performances on screen as well as on stage. Malden is best remembered for movies such as ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ and ‘On the Waterfront.’ Malden was inclined towards acting, from the very beginning. He actively participated in school plays, received formal training in acting from the ‘Goodman School,’ and was associated with the ‘Goodman Theatre.’ Malden made his film debut with ‘They Knew What They Wanted.’ During the ‘World War II,’ he served as a non-commissioned officer with the ‘United States Army Air Corps.’ After the war, Malden was back to acting. He won the ‘Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor’ for his performance in the film ‘A Streetcar Named Desire.’ Along with films, he was also worked in television series, such as ‘The Streets of San Francisco.’ He was the President of the ‘Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.’ Karl Malden breathed his last at the age of 97. He was honored with a star on the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame.’
