Elizabeth Perkins is an American actress best known for playing Celia Hodes in Showtime’s television series ‘Weeds,’ for which she garnered two Golden Globe nominations and three Primetime Emmy nominations. She is also known for her film roles in ‘The Flintstones,’ ‘Avalon,’ ‘Miracle on 34th Street,’ and ‘Big.’ Perkins, along with her two elder sisters, was raised in her maternal grandmother’s farm in Vermont following her parents’ divorce. After high school, the amber-eyed girl moved to Chicago and attended DePaul University, eventually graduating in 1981 with a BFA in acting. She made her theatrical debut in 1984 in the Broadway production of ‘Brighton Beach Memoirs’ and then went on to work in numerous plays, films, and television programs. Perkins’ natural acting skills and charismatic personality have made her one of the all-time favorite actresses of many across the globe. On a personal note, the talented actress is married to cinematographer Julio Macat. She has one daughter and three stepsons.
