Gavin McInnes is a British-born Canadian writer, actor, and political commentator, best known as the co-founder of the popular Canadian magazine ‘Vice.’ He and his family moved from England to Canada when he was quite young. Following his high-school graduation, he joined ‘Carleton University’ and graduated with a master’s degree in English. Aspiring to become a writer, he founded ‘Vice Media’ in the mid-1990s. A few years later, the company moved their operations to New York City. It was known as a hipster magazine, with Gavin serving as one of its main writers. However, in 2008, he quit ‘Vice’ owing to creative differences and launched a website and an advertising agency. Since his early days, he identified himself as a far-right conservative and shared problematic opinions about women, blacks, and transgenders, which dragged him into controversies from time to time. In 2018, he was banned from almost all social-media platforms, following accusations of provoking violence and constantly using these platforms to spread hateful comments.
