Robin Weigert is an American stage, TV, and film actor, best recognized for playing Calamity Jane in the ‘HBO’-aired Western series ‘Deadwood.’ The performance fetched her both ‘Emmy Award’ and ‘Screen Actors Guild Award’ nominations. A student of ‘New York University’s ‘Tisch School of the Arts,’ Robin spent a decade performing on stage, both in ‘Broadway’ and ‘off-Broadway’ productions, before moving to Los Angeles to commence her on-screen journey in acting. She started her TV career with cameo roles and guest appearances, earning her first recurring role, ‘Anna Mayes,’ in the ‘CBS’ police-procedural series ‘Cold Case.’ Her breakthrough on TV came with the series ‘Deadwood,’ while her first break in films came with the American drama–mystery flick ‘The Good German,’ starring George Clooney, Tobey Maguire, and Cate Blanchett. Her starring role of ‘Abby’ in the American drama film ‘Concussion’ earned her ‘Gotham Independent Film Award’ and ‘Seattle International Film Festival Award’ nominations.
