Kathryn "Katie" Aselton is an actress, screenwriter, and filmmaker from America. She is known for portraying Jenny MacArthur in the FX sitcom ‘The League’ and Amy Haller in FX's Marvel Comics X-Men drama ‘Legion’. Originally from Maine, Aselton has been attracted to the world of glamour since she was a child. In 1995, she was crowned Miss Maine Teen USA and later finished second at the Miss Teen USA 1995. She studied at the Boston University School of Communications before relocating to Los Angeles, California to become an actress. Aselton made her screen debut in an episode of the MTV anthology series ‘Undressed’ in 2001. Her big screen debut came about in 2005 when she was cast as Emily in the romance-drama ‘The Puffy Chair’. In 2010, she released her first film as a writer-director, the comedy-drama ‘The Freebie’.
