Mike Pence is an American politician serving as the 48th vice president of the United States of America since 2017. Previously, he served as the 50th governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017. A conservative and supporter of the Tea Party movement, he had previously represented Indiana's second and sixth congressional district in the ‘United States House of Representatives’ from 2001 to 2013. Born into a Catholic family with political leanings, he became interested in politics at an early age due to the influence of his family. As a young man, he idolized former President John F. Kennedy and was later inspired by Ronald Reagan. He went on to graduate from ‘Hanover College’ and earned his J.D. from ‘Indiana University School of Law,’ following which he began his career. He started a career as a radio talk show host in the 1990s, while trying to enter politics. After years of unsuccessful attempts, he was finally elected to the ‘U.S. House of Representatives’ in Indiana's second congressional district in 2000. Since then, his political career has been on the rise.
