Rick Harrison is an American businessman and reality TV personality, better known as a co-owner of the 'World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop' in Las Vegas. The pawn shop was started by his father, Richard Harrison, and is now fully managed by Harrison, his son, and another partner. Harrison’s epilepsy made him addicted to reading at a tender age, which eventually influenced him to become an entrepreneur. Following the success of his pawn shop, Harrison ventured into the world of TV with the 'History Channel' reality show 'Pawn Stars.' The show featured his pawn shop and its interesting clientele. Harrison’s inclination toward historical artifacts and his sharp eye for valuable items earned him the nickname "The Spotter.’’ This is the reason why Harrison does not regard 'Gold & Silver' as a pawn shop but a boutique of historical masterpieces.
